Jaipur:The first pure skill University in the country is a revolutionary step towards skill education which practices one-student-one-machine concept for skill education which answers all questions starting from how machines operate to how to get maximum productivity out of the machine. Bhartiya Skill Development University (BSDU) Jaipur has organized one-day Director’s conclave where Directors from different engineering colleges and industrialists from Rajasthan participated with an aim to increase awareness about innovation and creative ways for skilling youth.
The agenda of this conclave was to bridge gap between all stakeholders who are working for skilling India and to bring everyone on the same pitch. With this platform, stakeholders have shared most innovative and creative ways for skilling youth.
Founded by Dr. Rajendra Joshi, BSDU is the pioneer in skill development. He believes that perfected skills by the population of any country would lead to excellence and socio-economic development.BSDU works on a unique concept of building dual system of skills education (Swiss Dual System) where major focus is on customized practical industrial training along with theoretical knowledge.
Mr. Panneerselvam Ramaswamy,Principal Director MSME said, “Our focus is on skilling the youth and enterprise development in equal ratio. The dream of Industry 4.0 cannot be complete without skilling the youth. Earlier we used to give 5 lacs grant to promote incubation center development to universities but now we are now giving a grant of Rs. One Crore for development ofan Incubation Center to the universities. We also plan to open skilling centers at the village level.
Dr. (Brig.) SS Pabla, President of BSDU says, “Problems of unskilled youth, lack of jobs, reluctance of industries to accept poorly skilled and even engineers getting poorly paid are the rising problems that today’s generation is facing. Number of engineers are produced every year in Rajasthan but are not employed to their full capacity, but our students while in middle of their vocational degree program are getting stipend upto Rs. 15,000/- per month which looks very encouraging. Engineering students if trained in institutions like BSDU and given industrial exposure will become more job ready.”
Vice Chancellor, Rajasthan Technical University, Kota, Prof. (Dr.) N.P. Kaushik and Vice Chancellor, Bikaner Technical University, Prof. (Dr.) H.D. Charan also spoke on the need of developing skills in engineering students by initiatives like BSDU to make the generation job ready.Mr. PM Bhardwajof Bhardwaj foundation, a motivational guru, spoke about how to impart spirituality and leadership in today’s youth.
