You don’t drink coffee
Scientists from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health say 4-5 cups of coffee daily (black or with some milk, no sugar or just a bit) protect you from Type 2 diabetes.
You sit through the day
You don’t have the time or are too tired to move around: at office you sit at your desk for 8-10 hours, at home you watch TV till late into the night. A schedule like this makes you a sitting duck for diabetes, heart disease.
You watch too much TV on weekends
A University of Pittsburgh study found in 2015 that every hour spent sitting in front of the TV increases your risk of diabetes by nearly 4 per cent.
You skip your breakfast
Did you know that those who skip breakfast tend to consume more calories and fatty food during the day? Insulin levels are disrupted when you deprive your body of food.
You tend to worry too much
Stress can lead to diabetes because the body releases stress hormone cortisol when you are stressed and worried. Cortisol pushes down insulin activity, increasing your blood sugar level.
