Bhartiya Skill Development University (BSDU) today inaugurated Porta Cabins which contains Classroooms, faculty rooms, and workshop blocks on the second day of National Conference on Skill Development based on the theme of ‘Skilling for Better India’. Porta Cabin Classrooms, faculty rooms & Workshop Blocks that had been set up in around 26,000 square feet area will facilitate students of BSDU to get hands on training on electrical, automotive, carpentry and IT/networking workshops. Dr. Rajendra Joshi, founder of BSDU, today inaugurated the facility in presence of Dr. (Brig.) SS Pabla (Vice Chancellor, BSDU) along with members of Board of Studies.
Announcing the launch of Porta Cabins, Founder and Chairman of BSDU said, “With all the modern technologies and best of machineries, we intend to provide world class experience to BSDU students. Our primary focus is to provide students practical exposure on machines so that they don’t hesitate while immediately getting placed into industry.”
While addressing the members of Board of Studies, Dr. (Brig.) SS Pabla (Vice Chancellor, BSDU) said, “Our objective is to nurture students with best of skill development initiatives. On the concept of one-student-one-machine, we are proud to inaugurate this new facility within the campus. This will help students to get job ready from grassroot level. We are delighted to share that we have created a milestone by providing 100% placement assistance to all the students who have enrolled in B.Voc. courses.”On the second day of National Conference of Skill Development, 9th Meeting of Board of Studies was also organized where members suggested initiatives for development of skill universities in India.
On the inauguration ceremony today, the dignitaries present were Mrs. Ursula Joshi, the Founder of RUJ Group and BSDU; Dr. (Brig.) SS Pabla, VC of Bhartiya Skill Development University, Mr. Jayant Joshi, Chairman of RUJCT; Dr. GK Prabhu, president Manipal University.
