Jaipur: The recent terrorist attacks in Pulwama (Kashmir) has caused a wave of resentment in the country. The tragic incident has caused anger and anguish amongst the people. The erstwhile Royal Family of Jaipur is also deeply hurt by this tragic incident. It is to be recalled that Late Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singhji was also in the army and had won the gallantry award, Mahavir Chakra during the 1971 Indo-Pak conflict.
Rajamata Padmini Devi of Jaipur and Princess Diya Kumari Foundation have announced financial support of Rs. 2 lakh each to the 5 martyrs of Rajasthan. These are Bharatpur’s Jeet Ram, Shahpura’s Rohitash Lamba, Kota’s Hemraj Meena, Dholpur’s Bhagirathi Singh and Rajasmand’s Narayan Lal Gurjar. Apart from this, the CRPF jawans from Rajasthan injured in the incident will also receive financial support. The family has always had a great affinity for the armed forces and hugely appreciate their contribution in safeguarding the country, said Princess Diya Kumari.
